CIO of the year 2014

For background -> the ITnews Benchmark Awards have given end user organisations, their IT leaders and teams an opportunity to gain recognition for their ambition, innovation and the value they have delivered to government, industry and the public.  This year we will be recognising both the projects and the people behind Australia's best IT initiatives.


Now this is some 10 years ago and the I'm actually not sure where that plaque is in my office.  But is is very warming to recall winning this award and my speech to Thank my amazing team (Ross, Karin, Brett, Clayton and Sue) for incredible transformation delivery.  I do remember that hangover the next day well !

ISACA Book Teaser Event

I was invited by ISACA to do a Book Teaser session on April 18th in the beautiful KPMG offices in Sydney, Australia. This was attended by some 80 cyber professionals in person and there were a further 30-40 that had joined remotely. It was such an a wesome evening with great engagement and discussion on the Aspiring CISO and CIO career path. This was a terrific opportunity to test run my materials  for the upcoming launch event and many keynotes that  I have committed to. Some of the overwhelming comments from the ISACA session included: I'm looking forward to learn from leaders like you to become a CISO in future.  Please include in your book how prioritise 24 hrs time to best use in our present days  Looking forward to your experience to craft successful cybersecurity professional and executives.
