Just finished reading The Aspiring CIO and CISO by David Gee GAICD, and I’m truly inspired! David's ability to simplify complex topics like loyalty, trust, and risk culture makes them accessible and engaging for even a college student like me. Although the title focuses on CIO and CISOs, the insight David shares are valuable for anyone looking to advance their career, even outside the IT world.
He covers topics like building a personal brand, developing a 90-day-plan and connecting effectively like stakeholders. His personal insights throughout the chapters really resonated with me.
Honestly, I never considered becoming a CIO due to a lack of knowledge and opportunities, but this book changed my perspective. Huge thanks to David Gee GAICD for this valuable contribution!
